Born in Rostov-on-Don in 1976, finished school here and graduated from Rostov State University with a degree in history. Worked as a newspaper photographer in Rostov business weekly "Gorod N" (2000-2001), as a sub-editor in a corporate paper of "Yug Rusi" (2002). In 2003 started working as a designer.

I’ve always been fond of photographing moving objects. In December 2002 when I first came to the "Boogaloo" club and saw salsa, I realized I wanted to take pictures of the dance. The results of my first steps on this way formed the base of this project.
